Jilin Experimental Station of National Japonica Rice Engineering and Technology Research Center set up
The National Japonica Rice Engineering and Technology Research Center is an institution that aims at the key and common problems in the development of japonica rice industry, carries out technology integration and engineering research and development, and provides technical support for the development of japonica rice industry in China.
After the establishment of the National Central Jilin Experimental Station, it will comprehensively enhance the independent innovation capability of japonica rice in China, and radiation will promote the rapid development of the whole industry chain of japonica rice.
Jilin City was awarded the title of "hometown of Gongmi of Chinese Japonica Rice" by China Food Association in 2013.
The establishment of Jilin Experimental Station provides a strong scientific and technological guarantee for better building a healthy rice brand in the hometown of Gongmi, improving the level of local breeding, and introducing a series of innovative attempts from field planting to market promotion in Jilin City.
