The 2009 summary meeting of the National 863 Program "creation and Application of strong dominant hybrids" was held in Sanya.
On March 20, 2010, the 2009 Annual Summary meeting on the creation and Application of strong dominant hybrids of the National 863 Program was successfully held in Sanya, Hainan Province. the meeting was organized by Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center and attended by Director Wang Xueqin of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Seven people including Chairman Bao Wanjun, General Manager Yang Fei, General Manager Sun Jianran, Professor Hua Zetian and Dr. Jing Yanhui of Tianjin Rice Technology Engineering Center attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Professor Hua Zetian reported on the progress and results of the center's project in 2009 and the breeding plan in 2010, and put forward technical routes and suggestions for hybrid japonica rice breeding research, which was fully affirmed and supported by the leaders of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
