The 2010 National Science and Technology support Plan working Conference was successfully held in Sanya, Hainan.
On March 21, 2010, the Tianjin Branch of the National Hybrid Rice Engineering and Technology Research Center organized the 2010 working meeting of the national science and technology support plan "Hybrid Japonica Rice breeding Technology Research and New combination breeding" in Sanya, Hainan. The meeting was chaired by Director Deng Huafeng, and a total of 40 representatives from 15 project cooperation units and cooperation units attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the sub-project units reported and communicated on the implementation of the project in 2009, the scientific research achievements and the work plan in 2010. the main problems, key bottleneck technologies and main solutions in the breeding process of hybrid japonica rice were comprehensively discussed.
Experts believe that it is necessary to strengthen the extensive exchange of hybrid japonica rice breeding materials, jointly solve the common technical problems in hybrid japonica rice breeding by means of collaborative research, and further promote the development of hybrid japonica rice research.
After the meeting, the sub-center organized participants to visit the test bases of major units, including the variety display test field of the branch center, the Hainan base test field of the crop Institute of Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Hainan test base of the Rice Research Institute of Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the test base of Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, which fully demonstrated the scientific research achievements of hybrid japonica rice.
The convening of this meeting further clarified the research direction of hybrid japonica rice, discussed the new methods of breeding research, and promoted the rapid development of hybrid japonica rice breeding research.
