The kick-off meeting on the Construction of Rice Biology and Genetics and breeding subject Group of the Ministry of Agriculture was held in Hangzhou
At the start-up meeting, Director Cheng Shihua and Director Wang Xiaohu respectively put forward some suggestions and hopes on the construction of the subject group of rice biology and genetics and breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture.

Rice biology and genetics and breeding groups have built one comprehensive laboratory, five regional laboratories, two specialized laboratories and seven field experimental stations in various rice regions and ecological regions throughout the country.
