Teachers and students of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education come to our company to visit and study.
On the morning of June 14, more than 40 teachers and students of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education came to our company for a visit and study. Accompanied by Manager Chen of the Comprehensive Management Department and the staff of the Scientific Research Department, the visiting teachers and students visited the company's Binhai New area New Variety Test Base and Hybrid Rice Science and Technology Exhibition Hall.
According to the visiting teachers, the students who come to study this time are composed of students of different majors from nine campuses of the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education. The purpose of the school in organizing this activity is, on the one hand, to strengthen academic and cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland, and on the other hand to enable students to understand modern high-tech agricultural knowledge, broaden their horizons, and enrich the knowledge structure.
The staff of the Scientific Research Department seriously introduced the relevant knowledge about hybrid rice to the teachers and students, which led to the students' strong interest in learning.
After the visit, the students had in-depth exchanges with researchers on issues related to hybrid rice, including professional words such as male sterile lines, restorer lines and maintainer lines, as well as the difference between "hybrid rice" and "transgenic rice". There are also issues such as the exchange of germplasm resources.
This activity not only enriches the students' knowledge, but also adds highlights to the establishment of extensive exchanges and cooperation between our company and the school.
