On June 20, all the staff of the company participated in the "Rice knowledge Series (9)-Popularization of Rice knowledge" held in the training room on the second floor, which was lectured by he Guangsheng and Li Xiaoxia of the Scientific Research Department.
The main topic of he Guangsheng is "Rice yield and quality", which is introduced in detail from the aspects of rice yield structure, yield determination, factors affecting rice yield, rice milling quality, appearance quality, cooking quality, nutritional quality and so on.
Li Xiaoxia's main topic is "Rice cultivation techniques", which is mainly introduced from two aspects: raising rice seedlings and transplanting rice.
The process of raising seedlings includes seed selection, seed drying, seed soaking, sprouting, sowing and other links, which have strict requirements on temperature and humidity; in the process of transplanting, there are more stringent requirements on seedling age, water depth, hardness of rice field, transplanting depth, density, irrigation, fertilization and pest control.
Through this study, we not only achieve the goal of popularizing the basic knowledge of rice for employees, but also let everyone understand the rigor of science and the hardships of scientific researchers.
