Then Dr. Dong Li, Minister of Scientific Research of Tianlong Company, introduced the basic situation of the project, which mainly focused on the bottleneck problems restricting the development of hybrid japonica rice. through the genetic relationship analysis of excellent japonica rice resources in Northeast, Huanghuai and Southwest China, as well as the United States, South Korea, Japan, Egypt, Italy and other countries, the successful construction of japonica rice heterosis group was realized, so as to avoid the blindness of current japonica rice breeding methods and materials. It is of great significance for efficient breeding of japonica hybrid rice. The leaders of Tianjin Science and Technology Commission and Binhai New area Science and Technology Commission fully affirmed the significance of the implementation of the project and the work currently carried out, and encouraged the company to continue to play the role of ensuring the safety of staple grain in Tianjin and even the country. to contribute to the construction of the safe supply system of agricultural products in Binhai New area and Tianjin.
