The National Center, Tianlong Company "Longjingxiang No. 1 and Longyou 619" won the 2015 National Fine Taste Japonica Rice Evaluation Award.

From August 6 to 8, 2015, the 13th Japonica Rice Development Forum, sponsored by the Northern Rice Science and Technology Association and co-sponsored by the Institute of farming and cultivation of Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. During this forum. The association organizes Shenyang Agricultural University of China, Food crop Research Institute of Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, China Agricultural University, Northeast Institute of Geography and Agro-Ecology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Jilin Provincial Rice Institute, Heilongjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences Food processing Institute, Jilin Agricultural University, Ningxia Academy of Agricultural Sciences crop Research Institute, Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences Food crop Research Institute, Shandong Rice Research Institute, Hebei Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences Coastal Agriculture Research Institute, There are 27 well-known experts in japonica rice industry, including Liaoning Rice Institute and Tianjin University of Science and Technology, as well as 3 Japanese experts. With "Yueguang", the best quality variety in Japan, as the control variety, 25 japonica rice varieties with good taste from japonica rice producing areas in China were evaluated and exhibited during the Japonica Rice Development Forum.
The two high-quality scented japonica rice varieties Longjingxiang 1 and Longyou 619 submitted by the National Japonica Rice Center and Tianlong Company won the special prize and the first prize respectively in this selection, of which Longjingxiang 1's taste score was "87", ranking first among all the varieties evaluated, almost the same as the best "Yueguang" variety in Japan. The hybrid japonica rice variety Longyou 619 not only has the characteristics of excellent quality, but also has high yield and wide adaptability. it has been successfully planted in the north to the south of Heilongjiang, Hainan and Xinjiang in the south, and the planting and eating taste is very stable in different regions. The above two varieties have become our company's killer mace products, which will promote and promote the rapid development of China's high-quality japonica rice industry.
The national evaluation of japonica rice with good taste organized by the Northern Rice planting Science and Technology Association has been successfully held for four sessions in 2007 (Shenyang), 2009 (Tianjin), 2011 (Beijing) and 2013 (Changchun). The main purpose of this paper is to evaluate the taste of japonica rice varieties or newly bred stable lines which have been approved by the national or provincial variety approval committee. The main identification of rice smell, appearance and structure, taste, palatability and cold rice texture, expressed by a comprehensive score, the results of statistical methods to eliminate the deviation in the evaluation, and finally make an objective sensory evaluation of the eating quality of rice. Excellent evaluation team coupled with professional evaluation methods, and follow the principles of fairness, openness, justice and transparency, so that the excellent taste of japonica rice has received a warm response in the industry, and has been widely praised by people in the industry. At the same time, as an important part of rice taste research, the evaluation of fine rice taste has been affirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture and listed as the agricultural technology demonstration project in 2015, which has played a great role in promoting the further development of rice taste evaluation research.
