Introduction to the Industrial Institute
The Industrial Research Institute has a national level science and technology innovation base of the Ministry of Commerce, is a national high-tech enterprise, an excellent postdoctoral workstation in Tianjin, and an international science and technology cooperation base in Tianjin. At present, we have 3 specially appointed academicians, 4 State Council special experts, 1 candidate for the Thousand Thousand Plan, 2 Tianjin 131 talents, 11 postdoctoral fellows, 9 doctoral students, and 20 master's students, creating an innovative talent team that integrates management, scientific research, and engineering, with complementary advantages. We currently hold 157 national patents, 23 authorized invention patents, and have published over 20 academic papers, including 5 SCI papers. We have undertaken multiple national and provincial level scientific and technological projects.
The Industrial Research Institute is mainly engaged in the breeding of new crop varieties, plant extract feed additives, soil remediation and improvement of agricultural enzyme preparations, research and industrialization of industrial food enzyme preparations, tackling the "bottleneck" in the seed industry, and breeding multiple mature series of cauliflower varieties such as "Longxue", "Longsong", and "Tianwei" through the "core" technology, One of the selected cauliflower varieties, "20QG-8", won the "Expert Recommended Variety" award at the 2nd Zhengzhou Seed Industry Expo and 5th Zhongyuan International Seed Industry Science and Technology Exhibition in 2020. We have been recognized for two international advanced scientific and technological achievements in feed additive technology that focuses on green, alternative, natural, safe, and efficient aspects, and have won the third prize of the Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award in 2020. The two technologies of the Research, Development and Industrialization Center of Bioenzyme Soil Remediation and Improvement Technology "Development and Application of Soil Conditioner of Earthworm Extract with Significant Fertilizer Reduction" and "Development and Application of Manure of Earthworm Extract with Resistance to Soil borne Diseases" passed the appraisal of Tianjin's scientific and technological achievements in 2019, reaching the international advanced level.
Actively respond to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, expand foreign exchanges and cooperation, under the guidance and support of leaders at all levels in Tianjin, build joint ventures with Chinese holdings in France, Indonesia and Vietnam into public service platforms, build a "bridgehead" and "headquarters" for agricultural foreign cooperation, and play a role of bridge and link to accelerate the construction of foreign cooperation carriers in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.
