On September 15, 2011, the temperature light interaction japonica two-line male sterile line L62S developed by our company passed the technical appraisal organized by relevant experts from Tianjin Seed Management Station. This male sterile line uses hybridization and backcrossing to obtain multiple favorable genes, creating a new type of two-line male sterile line with large panicles.

The male sterile line has stable sterility, excellent outcrossing habits, and high combining ability. All breeding procedures have been completed, and it can be widely used for the breeding of new hybrid japonica rice combinations. Experts attending the meeting unanimously agreed to pass the identification.
